Orange County Disaster Rebuild celebrated Wednesday with Harvest Call and Iconnect Outreach the completion of rebuilding a home that was devastated by the flooding of Harvey over two years ago. The house in Mauriceville is the first completely rebuilt by Harvest Call a volunteer group that came to Orange County and is working to restore several homes that were damaged by the storm.
The Robin’s family of six lost everything in Harvey and has been living in a FEMA trailer for over two years. Billy Graff the founder and president of Iconnect Outreach thanked all the volunteers who helped restore the Robin’s home. Graff stressed the cooperation between the various groups to accomplish the task of being able to return a family to their home.
Tim Slagel with Harvest Call, volunteers from states in the Midwest, handed the keys of the new home to the Robins. Michelle Tubbleville with Orange County Disaster Rebuild, Orange County Judge John Gothia and Commissioners Kirk Roccaforte and Robert Viator attended the ceremony.
