Evelyn Goodman, 76, of Bridge City, passed away on December 5, 2021, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be David Lilley.
Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Orange, Texas, on December 6, 1944, she was the daughter of Ruben Peveto and Gladys Larue (Wilson) Peveto. Eveyln worked for Baptist Hospital as a Registered Nurse for many years. She was known for her big personality and being strong willed with everything in life. Evelyn loved being the life of the party when she was with her friends and family. She was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange where she sang and enjoyed planning events especially the Christmas play. Evelyn always helped those who needed her the most. She adored her family and grandchildren most of all and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Goodman; parents, Ruben and Gladys Peveto; son, Robert “Danny” Goodman; granddaughter, Courtney Goodman; and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Finley and husband James of Bridge City; grandchildren, Keelin Finley, Chelsea Frederick, Miranda Buffington and husband Jared, and Robert Goodman, Jr.; great grandchild, Ila Buffington; and sister, Norma Toohey.
