Monday night the Orangefield School Board announced the hiring of Tim Erickson as the new varsity baseball coach.
Erickson has been the head coach at Hardin-Jefferson the past six years.
He played baseball at Lamar University where he was the Team Captain and Pitcher of the Year in 2008. OF Athletic Director Josh Smalley said, “We’re lucky to be able to get a guy like Tim Erickson on our staff. He will be an asset to our program.” The new Bobcat baseball coach will have a lot of experience coming back as the baseball team is only losing one senior.
Erickson’s wife also teaches at Orangefield Junior High.
