The biorefinery will convert one million green tons of wood waste into 34 million gallons annually of premium clean burning transportation fuel including Sustainable Aviation Fuel, Renewable Diesel, and Renewable Naphtha.
On March 11 the company announced Engineering for the project has begun and it will take 20 months to complete. It takes another two years to complete construction and then 9 to 12 months of commissioning and startup activities. Based on this schedule, they hope to achieve completion by the end of 2025 and produce fuel in the 3rd to 4th Quarter of 2026. Many factors can push this schedule back, including weather.
This new biorefinery is expected to create 142 jobs in the Newton County community.
