Edward Duncan Taylor “E.T.”, age 61, of Orange, Texas, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. A Memorial Service to honor Edward’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at, Dorman Funeral Home, in Orange, Texas.
Pastor Sam Roe will officiate services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dorman Funeral Home.
E.T. was born in Tampa, Florida on Friday, August 28, 1959, to Phyllis Laverne (Duncan) and James Mathew Taylor. He was a longtime resident of Orange, Texas, where he was known and loved by many friends, and most of all, by his family. E.T. was a genuine man who loved life. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was very proud to do so. He enjoyed a good 18 holes of golf, being a faithful fan and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and watching the Alabama football games with his brother, David. He also loved listening to good Rock & Roll Music, as they sure don’t make it like they used to. E.T. was often described at KISS fan, Bruce Lee and Tiger Woods, all wrapped up into one. He was never short of a good time and always made people laugh and smile. E.T. was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
E.T. is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Laverne Taylor, as well as his sister, Julia James.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving father, James Mathew Taylor, as well as his brothers, Jimmy Taylor, David Taylor and Jerry Oglesbee.
