1pm Tuesday- The NHC has once again moved the track a little further east, discontinuing the Tropical Storm Warning for Orange County. We will discontinue following the chart of TS Francine as Orange County appears out of harms way. Once the soon to be hurricane approaches the shores of Louisiana, KOGT will continue to cover any possible flooding or wind damage in OC.

10am Tuesday – The track has moved a little bit more east but the maximum sustained winds are still 65mph and Francine is now moving at 8mph. Storm surge warnings now extend to Alabama. Orange County still expected to see some rain and wind late Tuesday and Wednesday.

10pm-The only change from the 7pm update was the time of landfall according to the NHC. Orange County will get some rain late Tuesday and on Wednesday but the end of the week will be much improved.

7pm Monday – No change in the track of the storm from the 4pm NHC forecast.

4pm – Landfall has been moved up from previous reports to 1pm Wednesday instead of Wednesday evening as the storm picks up to 65mph sustained winds and now moving at 7mph.
A Storm Surge Warning has been issued from east of High Island, Texas, eastward to the Mouth of the Mississippi River, Louisiana, including Vermilion Bay.
A Hurricane Warning has been issued for the Louisiana Coast from Sabine Pass to Morgan City.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Louisiana Coast east of Morgan City to Grand Isle and from High Island Texas to Sabine Pass.
A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the Texas Coast from Port Mansfield northward to High Island.

1pm – For the first time since the NHC started charting TS Francine, the model did not change between 10am and the latest 1pm model, which is posted below. Forecasters are expecting TS Francine to turn into a Hurricane Tuesday evening.

The 10am Monday model shows continues to show movement to the east. Also the storm now has a name. TS Francine now has sustained winds of 50mph with movement to the north at 5pm.
