Earl George Broussard Jr. transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal reward on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
He was born on March 1, 1960, in Orange, Texas, to the late Earl G. Broussard Sr. and Bessie L. Broussard. Earl remained a proud resident of Orange throughout his life and graduated from West Orange-Stark High School in 1978.
Earl was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a deep love for music, his family, and—of course—his cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl G. Broussard Sr. and Bessie L. Broussard, and his daughter, Tamara Mahoney.
He leaves to cherish his memory his special friend, Kamayia Simon; two sons, Traeden Simon-Broussard and Matthew Mahoney of Beaumont, TX; one daughter, Lakia Journett of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Cedric Broussard of Orange, TX and Kim Mathis of Houston, TX; five sisters, Pamela Broussard, Cynthia Hebert, Becky Broussard, LaSonya Broussard, and Marquetta Nelson, all of Orange, TX; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Earl Jr. will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Home going celebration will be Saturday July 5, 2025 at Starlight Church Of God In Christ located at 2800 Bob Hall Rd in Orange. Service time is at 11:00am. Visitation begins at 9:00am til time of service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Orange.
