DuGood Credit Union is headed back to school with a new location opening this fall on the Lamar Institute of Technology (LIT) campus.
Amidst much excitement, the partnership became official on July 25. The goal – to equip students for thriving careers and financial success.
“We are grateful for DuGood Credit Union’s investment in our college and proud to be their partner, ”said Dr. Sid Valentine, President of Lamar Institute of Technology. “This new on-campus branch will be a resource that will give our students the financial access, tools, and education they need throughout their academic journey and prepare them for when they enter the workforce.”
The enthusiasm about the partnership is certainly mutual. With the phenomenal growth LIT has experienced in recent years, new programs, and proven track record of strong job placement in Southeast Texas, DuGood CEO Clint Wilson views the pairing as an investment in LIT’s students and the local community as a whole. “Our area depends on LIT, and we are honored to partner with them, ”Wilson said.
“This new location is more than just a branch. It’s a resource center that will empower students to take control of their financial futures. LIT is known for producing job-ready graduates that make Southeast Texas a better place. We’re here to complement their mission by providing students the tools they need to succeed financially. We couldn’t think of a more perfect partnership!”
Wilson emphasized that he recognizes the financial pressure facing today’s college students, and DuGood has developed customized solutions to help
0% Interest “Power On”Career Loans
The credit union plans to offer a 0% interest “Power On” Loan designed specifically for LIT students.
