The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a hit-and-run crash at the Valero gas station, located in North Vidor at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 105 and Farm-to-Market Road 1132, that occurred Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 7:55 p.m., a 2006 GMC pickup was traveling north on F.M. 105. It is reported that the driver left the road to the right and struck a guard rail. The pickup then entered the parking lot of the Valero gas station and struck a concrete pylon barrier, which became detached and struck the front bumper of a 2012 Lexus passenger car located at the gas pumps. The pickup continued forward and struck the side of the building, traveled through it, and exited the opposite side. The driver of the pickup fled on foot and has not been located.
