It’s rare that someone being tracked by authorities is not found but Saturday afternoon one man was able to slip past them.
It started in Rose City when a man in a Lexus drove to close at a high rate of speed past an officer when they were stopped with another vehicle.
The officer began to chase the Lexus, the man stopped near the intersection of I-10 and FM1136 and ran into the woods. They began to search the woods along with a K9 but called it off at dark. The Lexus came back as a stolen vehicle.
