Thank you DOW Chemical as you celebrate your fifth year in Orange!
And when you celebrate you do it right with cake and ice cream.
Chrissy Babcock, Dow’s Public Affairs & Special Projects Leader, told KOGT, “While the site has been operational for over 75 years, Dow has been part of the Orange community since 2019, so this week we are doing a lot of activities to commemorate our 5th anniversary. Dow is so grateful for the warm welcome to Orange and we are looking forward to many more years as part of this amazing community growing together.”
And to no surprise Dow also celebrated with a couple of community projects. “We kicked off the week with cake, joined by several of our community partners. On Tuesday, we enjoyed a picnic at the Cove Recreation Area on DuPont Drive. We were able to serve hot dogs and ice cream to our neighbors while enjoying the results of our on-going partnership with the City of Orange to build the park & family area.” (attached photo of group at park, plus one of Rita Monson, City of Orange, Mary McKenna, City Council Rep for Cove area, Chrissy Babcock, Public Affairs Dow, and Lauren Rodrigue, Dow Communications)
Wednesday employees packed over 40,000 meals in partnership with the United Way to stock four local food pantries. Babcock said, “And on Thursday we are joining with our industry partners along Chemical Row to pick up trash along FM1006. It is a wonderful week to celebrate and give back.”
