Dondi Lee Hyatt, 63, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Orange, Texas, on October 1, 1961, he was the son of Lee Hyatt and Mary Jane (Wynne) Hyatt. Dondi made a lasting impression on all who knew him throughout his life. Dondi was known for his warm personality and his commitment to his family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially by the river, where he felt most at home. Camping trips and crawfish boils were cherished traditions that brought together family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. A fan of football, Dondi had a particular fondness for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching games with a cold beer in hand, sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. His laughter and spirit filled the rooms he entered, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Hyatt; daughters, Joleena West and Brieanna Shue; sons, Wade Wood, Dustin Hyatt, and Jeremy Robinson; stepson, Brandon Vennebush; stepdaughter, Brittany Thibodeaux; sister, LeTeena Manasco; brother, Carl Kibodeaux; and other loving family and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.
