Donald Wayne Sheffield, age 71, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. Services honoring Donald will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2024, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2537 FM 1078, Orange, Texas, 77632. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, 5432 Old Hwy 90, Orange, Texas. Visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to service from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.
Don was born on December 28,1952, to L.M. and Gwen Sheffield. He surrendered his life to God at an early age and started Pastoring his first church in February of 1972. He Faithfully served God until his last breath, even after due to his health, he had to retire from preaching in July, 2022. He had a great desire to do all he could to help spread God’s word whenever, and where ever he could. In October, 2017 (after Brother Bill Quinn with his leap of Faith Ministry passed away) he started up Paper Missionaries. He would pick up a load of tracks from publish or perish Ministries out of Gulfport, Mississippi, and deliver then to the US/Mexico border. They would then be delivered through out all of Central and Southern America. His second love was his family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents L.M and Gwen Sheffield.
He is survived by his Wife Sherry, one Brother-Bill (Carolyn) two sons- Joel and Patrick (Kellie), Five grandkids, Colt, Brooklin, Kennadee, Christlyn and Elizabeth and two great grandchildren Orianna and J.B
The family is requesting, due to his love for Missions, instead of flowers being sent donations be made in his Honor to Publish or Perish Ministry, 1207 Boles Blvd., Gulfport, Mississippi, 39503.
