On September 17th a theft was reported on Aloha Drive in Vidor. The homeowner stated she realized her purse had been stolen and found that her debit card had been used in several locations without her permission.
Investigators were able to identify two subjects who made several of the unauthorized purchases but were unable to identify a third suspect. It was found that the third suspect used the stolen debit card at the Beaumont Walmart to purchase a Straight Talk cellphone and phone card .
The unidentified suspect is described as a white male wearing a black short sleeve shirt, tan pants with a chain attached to a belt loop and running to a wallet. He has a red/blonde goatee, was wearing glasses, a white knit cap and appears to be in his early twenties.
Credit or Debit card abuse is a State Jail Felony and carries a penalty of 180 days to 2 years in a State Jail plus up to a $10,000 fine.
