Update: Dillon and Posey barely missed fishing in the top 12 on Saturday. They weighed in 8-12 and finished in 15th place.
Chance Dillon and Dakota Posey from the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bass Team are in 12th place after day one of the Bassmaster High School Championship on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee. The lake features both small and largemouth bass.
The duo caught a five fish limit for 13-9 and currently sit just a little over six pounds behind the leaders from Natchitoches Central HS in Louisiana. Over 300 teams are competing.
The tournament continues through August 4. Only the Top 12 will fish the final day.
