The Deweyville Pirates have been added to the list of schools that have had to stop summer workouts because of possible the coronavirus. Orangefield, WOS and a handful of schools in Jefferson County have had to stop workouts at some point since since they started a month ago.
Monday morning Deweyville AD Brandon Prouse said, “Strength and conditioning workouts will be cancelled from today until further notice due to a student athlete possibly being exposed to the corona virus. We are waiting test results before any further plans are made. Also their will be no athletic practices or events held at the school during this time.”
