
Delores Wynona Flippen, age 80 of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Sinclair officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:15 PM with a 7:15 PM prayer service on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Delores was born in Diaville, Texas on October 16, 1936 to Agnes Tyo Yarbrough and Lester Yarbrough. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Delores raised race horses in her early years with her family and then worked as a dental assistant. She also worked with special needs children and drove a bus at LCM.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dr. Menville B. Flippen, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Jay Vincent and his wife Nan of Orange, TX, Jimmy Vincent and his wife Laura of Orange, TX, Sherri Vincent and Randy Meadows of Cedar Park, TX, Menville B. Flippen III and his wife Susan of Bryan College Station, TX, Mike Flippen and his wife Kendall of Elgin, TX, Deb Krenek and her husband Tim of Belair, TX and Jim Flippen. Two sisters, Allene “Sally” Broussard of Phoenix, AZ, Virginia Owens and her husband Sammy of Orange, TX and one brother, Clarence Yarbrough of Vidor, TX. Thirteen grandchildren; Joey Vincent, Traylan Vincent, Bryce Vincent, Gavin Cooper, Jessie Cline, Mathew Flippen, Heather Flippen, Micah Flippen, Allison Flippen, Makai Flippen Brian Flippen, Lisa Flippen and Holly Krenek. Ten great grandchildren; Bubba Cline, Arah Vincent, Jessica Flippen, Christopher Flippen, Joshua Flippen, Josiah Flippen, Katie Flippen, Lillie Flippen, Zion Flippen and Nathan Flippen. “Adopted” daughter, Sandy Harris and “adopted” great granddaughter, Zandra Meadows. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
