Deborah Ann Garrett-Floyd, also known as “Black”, “Granny” and “NeNe” was born in Orange, Texas on February 28th, 1953. She was the beautiful daughter of Helen Garrett and Lawrence Colbert.
Deborah attended Stark High School for the first part of her high school years and then graduated from Conroe High School in 1971.
In 1981 she became the proud mother of a bouncing baby boy she named Adrian Lamont Garrett. Her love for him has been on display from her first look at him until she closed her eyes. She loved her “B”.
Deborah was an exceptional person whose heart was as big as her smile. She had an endearing love for all children and after working in the shipyard for several years, she went to work in childcare to follow her heart.
