Deanna Kaye Davis, 86, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday November 10, 2024, at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange. Officiating will be Kyle Tremblay.
Born in Arkansas City, Kansas, on September 10, 1938, she was the daughter of Billy Bert Deskins and Delphine Grace Eubanks. Deanna dedicated her life to inspiring students at Deweyville ISD as the Science Teacher for many years. Outside of her teaching career, Deanna’s spirit soared in the warmth of her family and the things she loved. She had a deep affection for horses, often found cheering on her favorites at the racetrack. A regular at games, puzzles, bingo and the local casino, Deanna delighted in these social pastimes, sharing many laughs with friends from Collier Park. Deanna loved and was very proud of her granddaughter, Katelyn. Deanna’s memory will forever live in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Frederick Thomas Davis; sons, Marshall (Mickey) Davis and Sheldon Davis; sister, Billie Jean Ramsey.
She is survived by her children, Dina Defrates and husband Greg, and Barry Davis; granddaughter, Katelyn Defrates DuBose and husband Austin.
