David James Hanlon, age 67 of orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home in Orange, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
David was born on July 9, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents, Mildred “Sue” Louise Patten Hanlon and Edward L. Hanlon. He graduated from North West Oklahoma State and then received his doctorate from Oklahoma State University. David worked many years as a chemistry scientist in the petro and chemical industry. He always had new ideas and had many of them patented through the years. David’s mind never seemed to stop; he just looked at the world in a different perspective and wanted to make things better. He did however slow things down long enough to enjoy saltwater fishing with his wife Donna and going hunting with friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sue Hanlon.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Hanlon of Orange, TX, brother Richard Hanlon and his husband Tim of Newton, TX, Jackie Wesley and her husband Bob of Turpin, OK, numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
