
The sun rose on Daryl Donnell Edwards on August 17, 1968, in Vinton, LA.
Daryl’s education began in Orange, Texas, where he attended elementary and middle school in Orange ISD. Later, he moved to Waco, Texas, and completed his high school education. After high school, Daryl proudly joined the military and completed his training as a Combat Medic in the Army National Guard.
Shortly after his return from the military, Daryl proudly welcomed his two beloved sons into the world, Wesley Dwyer,and Brandon Edwards. Daryl always said, “Family Over Everything”, which he displayed in his relationships.
A voracious appetite for literary and philosophical studies, he later went on to pursue his education, and acquired the following degrees: Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science, and a Master of Literature.
On Monday, August 12, 2024, Daryl departed this life unexpectedly, and his energy transcended beyond the physical world.
He was a Houston Texans fans and raved about football. He was a lover of comics, art, and literature. His literary and artistic drawing talents were awe-inspiring.
Preceding him in death are his beloved grandparents, Sarah and Allen Curtis, Alonzo and Evill Brown, and Irene Edwards, as well as his best friend and companion, “Lady.”
Daryl leaves to cherish his fond memories his loving parents, George Edwards, Jr. and Brenda Curtis Edwards of Dallas, Texas, Lawrence and Beatrice Brown of Houston, Texas, and his sons, Wesley Dwyer of Houston, Texas and Brandon Edwards of Lorena, Texas.
He also leaves to cherish his memories his siblings Damon Edwards (Shemekka Edwards), Nikia Edwards, and Terrey Edwards (Kenneth Edwards), his nieces and nephews who he adored: Ashanti Cooper, Isaiah Edwards, Noah Edwards and Gabrielle Edwards, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services are Saturday August 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. viewing begins at 12:30 p.m. until time of service, at Salem United Methodist Church 402 W. John Orange, Tx.
