Darren Ross May, age 49 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in Orange. Services to honor Darren’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Darren was born in Orange, Texas on May 30, 1971 to Valerie Jane Grossman May and Shelby Ray May. He had been a lifelong resident of Orange and was an employee with the City of Pinehurst for the past 20 years. Darren was a proud father of his two children, Brandon Ross and Marlee Jo. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and building stuff with his hands. Darren was a kindhearted soul that enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Bertha May, paternal grandfather Fernell “Red” May and maternal grandfather, Emil Grossman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Brandon Ross May of Orange, TX and Marlee Jo May of Orange, TX, parents Shelby and Valerie May of Orange, TX, brother Gregory May and wife Kristy May of Orange, TX, mother of his children Donna Benoit of Orange, TX, niece Taylar May of Sulphur, LA and grandmother Louise Grossman of Nederland, TX., and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.
Pallbearers to honor Darren will be Brad Ford, Neal Ford, Art Morgan, Luke Herrin, Craig Gilstrap, Doug Cabiness, Ray Smith, and Dylan Istre. Honorary pallbearers will be Marlon Rothrock, Justin James, Gavin Cooper and Steven LeBlanc.
