Daniel Ray Frizzell, 86, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Brookdale Sherwood Retirement Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 30, 1930 in Shreveport, LA to Muriel & Beulah Frizzell. Ray joined the Navy at the age of 15 during WWII. He served in the Navy until 1948 and then went on to work for City Services in Lake Charles, LA., where he retired as a Plant Foreman. Ray loved to fish, go shrimping, go hunting and camping. He was also a very passionate member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW and First Baptist Church of Odessa. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Penny Graham, and grandsons Billy Wayne Graham, Jr. and Sean Graham. He is survived by his wife, Lenora Morris Frizzell of Odessa; daughters, Cheryl Graham and husband Bill of Anacoco, LA; Sandra Andrews and husband Rex of Cypress, TX; Anita Hudson and husband Kenny of Orange, TX; Danice Dupuis of Beaumont, TX; stepdaughter Patsy Brenner and husband Mike of Lubbock, TX; stepson Cole Perkins and wife Paulette of Odessa, TX; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11 at First Baptist Church in Odessa with Dr. Byron McWilliams and Rev Don Norris officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery in Monahans, TX. Pallbearers will be Randy Beard, Ellis Fulton, Bill Graham, Marvin Graham, Wes Graham and Kenny Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers are Rex Andrews and Jay Cox. The family request that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Odessa’s Building Fund. Services are entrusted to Frank Wilson Funeral Directors.
