Dan Sadler, 59, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Revered Sinclair Oubre. Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m. followed by a reciting of the Rosary, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on October 4, 1963 he was the son of Donald Sadler and Mary Lou Dyson Sadler. Dan proudly served his country in the United States Army as well as the United States Navy and worked as a Rigger for Zachry. He was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he served as an Usher, a part of the ACTS community, and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Dan loved the Lord and was a faithful man to the very end. He enjoyed spending his spare time hunting and fishing, or just being outdoors every chance he got. Dan especially adored his wife, Rhonda, and his family more than anything. Dan was well known as a kind man with a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Lou Sadler; his wife, Leesa Johnson; his grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Rhonda Sadler; his sons, Christian Johnson and wife Brooke of Hampshire, and Dylan Dixson and wife Emily of Kingwood; his grandchildren, Ben Dailey, Lilly Dailey, Daykota Goff, Peyton Bishop, and Parker Bishop; his brother, David Sadler and wife Charlotte; his sister, Suzanne Hutto and husband Justin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
