
A robber used a rifle or shotgun to steal cash from the register at the Crawdad’s off Martin Luther King Jr. Drive early Wednesday morning. The robber, is still at-large, though police interviewed a “person of interest.”
The robbery was reported about 4 a.m. and no one was injured.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the robber was described as a white man wearing a green jacket, black pants and white tennis shoes. He had a mask covering half his face and his chin had protruding hairs. The man ran out of the store, but the clerk could not tell in which direction he went or whether he had a vehicle.
Enmon said an officer took a “person of interest” into custody not long after the robbery. However, the person was released after answering questions.
