North Texas senior and LCM grad Lauren Cox has told the school she will return (again) for her senior year to play golf for the Mean Green.
The NCAA granted an additional year of eligibility for athletes in spring sports after they were stopped from playing in March because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Cox owns many records at UNT and last year became just the second female golfer in school history to qualify for the NCAA Regionals.
She also set the school season scoring record last season with a 73.9 average.
She was off to a good start in 2020 with her first career win, taking first in the Entrada Classic in Utah in March.
