The Orange Lions Club has been closely monitoring COVID-19 and assessing how it it would affect the Annual Lions Club Carnival for this year.
Monday after a vote carnival organizers said, “Our intention has been to run the carnival if it would be safe for members, volunteers, and the public. As the carnival takes us months to plan, we must make a decision now. In the interest of public safety and to reduce the risk of exposing all carnival goers to the virus, we will be canceling this year’s carnival.”
The Lions Club will continue to assess when it will be safe to schedule the next carnival. “We hope you understand how difficult this decision was, but we will always err on the side of safety when it comes the well being of our friends and neighbors.”
