32-year-old Janel Trahan of Orange was arrested here earlier this week by the Department of Homeland Security on federal charges of producing child pornography with her two-year-old daughter.
Law officers removed the child from the house in Orange and she is now with Child Protective Services.
Janel Trahan is facing federal charges of aggravated sexual assault and promotion of child pornography.
The child’s biological father, 24-year-old John Trahan of Spring, was arrested in Montgomery County. He is charged with promotion of child pornography.
Federal investigators said the mother is accused of a sexual act with the child and video recording the act.
