The Orange City Council Tuesday will vote on taking the first step for a concrete lining in the Meeks Drive drainage ditch by Oak Creek Village.
The council will vote on paying a maximum $14,500 to the engineering firm Arceneaux Wilson & Cole of Port Arthur. The company will be doing a topographic survey of 1,400 feet and will locate all utilities within the right-of-way on the west side of Meeks.
The survey is to be from the Orange County Drainage District Ditch to the Oak Creek Village C-5 ditch to Clark Lane. The company will also make engineering plans for the concrete lining.
The vote will be during a regular council meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the council chamber next to the Orange Public Library.
