The Guadalajara Restaurant was having a busy Friday night. Thankfully that night didn’t turn tragic as an elderly woman struck the building before going into reverse and taking out a fence and vehicles at Team Granger’s lot next to the restaurant.
Witnesses on the scene say the woman was parked in the handicap spot in front of the building. She pulled forward and hit the building, cracking a post as she spun her wheels. Then she put the car in reverse, possibly panicked or there was a malfunction, and she backed up with enough speed that she climbed the fence in between the restaurant and car lot, and ended up in Strickland Drive, fortunately with no one traveling down the road at that time.
The elderly woman claimed she was ok and fortunately no one else was injured. Two vehicle’s were damaged in the lot. Her vehicle suffered two flat tires and some side damage.
