Corey Lee Jones, age 33, of Orange, Texas, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow services at, Garrison Cemetery, in Orangefield, Texas.
Corey was born in Port Arthur, Texas on Saturday, November 21, 1987, to parents, Kathy (Hinson) and Ricky Jones. Corey was a longtime resident of Port Neches, Texas where he was known and loved by many. He was also a resident of Colorado for 3 years while serving in the United States Army, where he made many lifelong friends, then later moved to Orange, Texas. His friends and family always knew him as a bit of a “goofball” who always had a big smile on his face. Corey was also a wonderful dad, whom loved spending time with his son, Elijah. He was truly the light of his life. Family was everything to Corey and he was everything to him. You always knew he was in the house around breakfast time if you smelled coffee and burnt toast, as it was his very favorite. He also enjoyed indulging in sweets, drinking margaritas, playing monopoly, as well as, his companion dog, Haji. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors whether he was hunting, camping or just riding ATV’s.
Corey was a loving father, husband, son, brother, nephew and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving son, Elijah Jones; wife, Alysia Jones; mother, Kathy Gonzalez and husband David; father, Ricky Jones and wife Crystal; brothers, Bryan Jones and wife Kylie, Bryce Wickler and Trebor Stevens; sisters, Amber Vickers and husband Corbett, as well as, Katelyn Jones and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers honoring Corey : Chris Hinson, Kirk Hinson, Matthew Hinson, Douglas Hinson, Ricky Hinson, Bryce Hinson and Bo Hinson.
