A vigilant neighbor in the Norwood subdivision helped police catch a someone removing copper pipes from a vacant house. Officer Justin Kirkpatrick reported he went to the 2200 block of Westway Street about 11:10 p.m. after a neighbor called police because they saw a light moving inside the vacant house.
The officer said he and other officers went to the house and saw a man holding copper piping leaving. They arrested 45-year-old Eric Dwayne Michael for theft.
