Michael Comeaux, a 1990 West Orange-Stark graduate, has been named the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of the Anna Independent School District, located north of Dallas.
For the past eight years Comeaux has been the Superintendent at Post ISD. Post is a small town southeast of Lubbock with 872 students. Anna ISD sports 3214 students.
AISD Board President Shelli Conway said, “Mike has a reputation of being a top-notch guy with vast knowledge in a variety of areas, an extremely hard worker and one that is always willing to learn and grow in order to do what is best for his district. His personality, coupled with his professional abilities are things we believe make him a good fit for Anna ISD and our community as a whole. We look forward to working with Mike, with the continued goal of providing the best education and opportunities possible for our Anna ISD students.”
During his 23 years in the education business, Comeaux was also the Athletic Director at Deweyville HS, and an assistant principal at Lumberton HS.
By law, the Board must wait 21 days before Comeaux’s employment is official
