Clifton James Colbert, 73 of Houston (formerly of Orange) passed away on December 14th in Houston.
Born in Franklin, LA on March 1, 1942 to Wallace and Clara Colbert.
He graduated from Emma H. Wallace High School in 1960.
Upon his graduation, he served in the military.
He was later employed by Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad, retiring after 31 years.
Clifton loved people, he always had stories to tell. He loved music, and was proud of his record collection.
Clifton was proceeded in death by his father, Wallace Colbert and his brother, Bernard Colbert.
Forever cherishing his memory is his wife of 37 years, Odella Ceasar Colbert. His mother, Mrs. Clara Colbert. His children, Desmond Colbert, Denisea Terrell (David), Detra Colbert and DeAndrea Colbert.
His sisters; Shirley Johnson and Mary Abram. Brothers; Willie Ray Colbert, Nathaniel Colbert, Robert Colbert, Lawrence Colbert and Donald Colbert. Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 19 at 1:00 pm, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 106 W. Park Ave. in Orange.
Viewing will be from 9am until the time of the service. Under the direction of Colonial Memorial Chapel.
