At approximately 1am Tuesday morning, Orange Firefighters arrived at the El Bethel Baptist Missionary Church at the corner of 12th Street and W. Cypress where they found heavy smoke coming from the structure.
Assistance came from Little Cypress and West Orange but the amount of water they had was no match for a 10-15mph north wind. In 90 minutes the 76 year old church had burned down and firefighters are still on scene as of this post taking down hot spots.
Fire marshals arrived and began their investigation as to the cause of the blaze.
