Christopher Kirksey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. God saw him getting tired and wrapped him in his loving arms at 4:15 a.m. and whispered, “Come home with me.”
He was born to the late Mary Ann Kirksey on May 8, 1967 in Orange Texas.
Christopher graduated from West Orange Stark high school in 1985 and had a passion for graphic designs and marketing. He attended Stephen F. Austin University to perfect his craft and majored in Communication and Marketing. Christopher decided to continue his education at University of Houston in 2013. Christopher had big dreams at a very young age and created one of the first local magazines in the Golden Triangle “Satin Magazine” this was something that he poured his heart and soul into at the age of 20. Christopher had mastered this craft and moved to Houston at the age of 25 and created a brand that many churches and preachers from all over the United States relied on his expertise. Some would consider him as a Marketing Beast! Since 1992 Christopher Kirksey has had a rich history of providing a complete portfolio of advertising and marketing communication services to nationally known churches and corporate firms.
Christopher accepted Christ at the age of 5 and served the Lord his entire life. He was ordained to preach at St. Paul CME church. He was a member of The Genesis Church, Dr. Michael P. Williams in Houston, Texas .
Christopher leaves to cherish precious memories:
Father of 4 children: Kristian Faith Kirksey, Kenneth James, Jacoby James, Zachary Kirksey
Grandchildren: Ka’leah Faith Kirksey, Joseph James, Jordan James, Kash Dise, Korde King James, Aaliyah James, and Ariya James
Immediate family: 2 sisters : Stacey and Kenneth Johnson, Twana Crockett; 2 aunts: Lois Ann King and Joe King, Sadie Pearl Jackson, 2 neices, Whitney Lazenby and Wilhelmina Hardeman; 1 nephew, Kendric Johnson; Cousins; Sylvia Kay Hardeman, Joe King Jr, Gwendolyn Jackson, Tammy Jackson, Lisa Oneal, John Jackson, Roy Jackson and Wayne Kirksey.
You would often hear him talking his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Home going celebration will be on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Paul CME Church 1201 N. 4th St., Orange, Texas.
Service time begins at 2:00 PM. Visitation begins at 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Orange, Texas. Under the direction on Colonial Memorial Chapel.
