
Christopher Carl Cooksey, 29, of Orange, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born on August 26, 1991, to Angela Elizabeth Kroemeke and Ryan Anthony Cooksey, in Fort Worth. Christopher was in sales at a local furniture store and a Worship Ministry Associate with Calvary Baptist Church North Campus.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Fults Cooksey; daughter, Kailyn Young; and son, Ivan Cooksey, all of Orange; sister, Savannah Cooksey, of Austin; brother, Joseph Kroemeke, of Nederland; father, Ryan Cooksey; and mother, Allysen Cooksey, both of The Woodlands; mother, Angela E. Ford, of West Orange; grandparents, Paul Cooksey and his wife, Janet, of Lumberton; Pamala and Allan Adkins, of Bandera; and Buddy Bourne, of Beaumont; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
A gathering of Mr. Cooksey’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church North Campus, 395 Fletcher Road, Lumberton. His interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2312 Irving, West Orange, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
