Bridge City Fire and Rescue was called to 1945 Summerville Lane in the Langham Forest Estates neighborhood off of FM105 Thursday at approximately 10:30am.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the roof, especially near the chimney. Quick response lead to containing the fire in the area of the chimney so the home was not a total loss but it did receive a lot of smoke and water damage as well. Several firefighters reminded those residents looking on to “have your chimney swept if you use it every winter.”
No injuries were reported.
