
Cheryl “Mama Red” Adaway, 68, of Jasper passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Vision Outreach Church in Kirbyville at 10:00 a.m.
A native of Orange, Texas, she was born on December 7, 1954 to Glynn & Gertie Hudnall. A resident of Milam and Kirbyville, she was a resident of Jasper for 25 years. She worked in law enforcement, as well as a TDC Corrections Officer. She also owned and operated Smoking Guns and Skinz & Needles Tattoo Parlors. She is survived by her sons Patrick Jordan & wife Kerri of Kirbyville and Marcus Adaway of Woodville; business partner Brandon Agnew of Jasper; nieces Pamela Primrose & husband Travis of Jasper, Joy Nance & Ted Sanders of Hemphill, and Katie Nance of Kirbyville; nephews Paul Swearingen & wife Theresa of Roganville, Glynn Nance & wife Laura of Kirbyville, and Charles Nance & wife Dana; as well as a grandchild Alexander Jordan.
