A high-speed chase Monday that began in Jefferson County passed through Orange on Interstate 10 with local law officers joining in.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy tried to the Honda after the license returned that it belonged to a missing or endangered person.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers became part of the chase in Jefferson County and continued at speeds of 110mph. In Orange, the patrol officers chasing the car dropped out at the state line.
KPLC in Lake Charles reports the driver of the vehicle was finally stopped in Westlake about 1 p.m. after the driver wrecked out in a neighborhood.
