Charles Glenn Edwards, 55, of Highlands, TX passed away on August 18, 2021.
Charlie was born on July 12, 1966 in Orange, TX to Leo and Mary Edwards. On September 24, 1988 he married his high school sweetheart, Karen, and have had a love-filled marriage for 33 years. On August 6, 1994 and February 2, 1999 respectively, his two daughters were born. He was a graduate of West Orange Stark, Class of 1984, and Lamar University and worked as the General Manager for Specialty Metal Products.
Charlie was a devoted father, husband, and friend. No one who met Charlie could forget his infectious laugh and contagious love for life and a good time. He enjoyed fishing and taking boat rides in his Haynie Custom Bay Boat, enjoying his pool with a cold Bud Light, listening to good live music around town, and making a mean gumbo. He was a supportive and loving husband, amazing “girl dad”, and was known to make an impact on everyone he encountered. Charlie and Karen have been together since 1983, making the last 38 years the best years of their lives. Charlie was proud to be a cheer dad for his daughters for 15 years and was even more proud as he guided them into their respective adult careers.
Charlie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Vincent Edwards Jr. and his mother, Mary Nella Meaux Edwards.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Karen Edwards; his children, Lexi Radin and husband Bennett Radin, Haley Edwards and fiancé Cole Brogan; brother, Gary Edwards and wife Christina Edwards.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 3 at 2 pm at Faith Family Church in Baytown, TX (6500 North Main). Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 pm until the start of the service.
