The Celebration of Life for Mr. Charles Edward Declouet, 62, of Orange, will be Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11am at Sixth Street Community Church under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11am. Disposition will be cremation. Born in Orange, Texas to Josephine (Gant) Declouet and Adam Declouet, Thursday, August 23, 1962, Charles Edward Declouet was raised and
educated here, graduating from West Orange-Stark High School in 1982. His working years were spent in the construction and landscaping industries.
“Pookie,” as most knew his, love people, loved to help them, and was also a good cook who enjoyed cooking. He passed Monday, May 26 th , at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.
Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings Dorothy Steele and Adam Declouet. Forever cherishing his memories are daughters, Chaquetta Declouet and Shakeitha Declouet, both of Orange, brother, Lawrence Gant of Orange, sisters Eva Declouet of Beaumont, TX, Janice Declouet of Orange, Angela Hinson (Cregg) of Cypress, TX, and Pamela Arnett (Patrick, Sr.) of Tomball, TX and grandson Jayce Gales of Orange.
