Cecilia Marie Krnavek Cook, 76, Died November 4th, 2016, after battling heart disease and other related illnesses. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Cecilia graduated from West Oso High School in 1958. She married her husband John Dudley Cook Sr., and they began to raise a family of 5 children. She held many jobs in the school system to be close to her children. Her pride and joy were her children and her grandchildren, attending their school functions and sporting events in Corpus Christi, Taft, Gregory Portland, Tomball, and Klein, Texas. She loved having barbeques and playing cards, Taroks, and dominoes with family and friends.
She is survived by her eldest son John (JD) Dudley Cook, Jr.; son James David Cook and wife Melody; daughter Janelle Denise Cook and Coby; son Jerry Douglas Cook and Kristi; and daughter Jennifer Dawn Jacobson (Cook) and husband Doug. Cecilia also leaves behind her brothers Johnnie Krnavek, Joe Krnavek, and her sisters Nancy Schanen, Doris Dlabaja, Angie Hickman, Marcy Schnelle, and brother-in-law James Leland Cook and wife Billie Sue, and 8 grandchildren: Rylan Cook, Jordan Cook, Davis Cook, Dustin Cook, Austin McWhorter, Jeryn Cook, Emma McWhorter, and Jakob Cook.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary service at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, 1222 Morgan Avenue, Corpus Christi, at 7:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7th and a Graveside Service at Coastal Bend State Veteran’s Cemetery on Tuesday, Nov. 8th at 11:00 am.
