Carolyn “Grandmommy” Dale Kirbow, 82, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a cherished presence in the Vidor community, Carolyn spent her life committed to family, friends, and neighbors. With over 30 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Postal Office, she brought warmth and reliability to her work, forging countless friendships along the way.
Carolyn had a passion for animals, especially horses, and her deep love for all creatures great and small reflected her generous spirit. Known for her caring and loving nature, she was the one everyone could turn to for comfort, always ready with a smile, kind words, and a helping hand.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Jerry Kirbow of Vidor, TX; her children, Jessica Richards and husband James of Vidor, TX; Bill Beggs and wife Rosemary of Tustin, CA; Chris Beggs and wife Diane of Vidor, TX; and Patrick Beggs and wife Penny of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her sisters, Karleen Golias of Austin, TX; Stella Metcalf of Longview, TX; Julie Humphrey of Vidor, TX; and Kathleen Humphrey of Longview, TX, as well as 8 grandchildren Jennifer Fisher, Jeffery Carter, Joshua Richards, Alec Beggs, Andrew Beggs, Lauriann Beggs, Chelsea Haeggquist and Chad Beggs, 11 great-grandchildren Finley Fisher, Hunter Carter, Riley Richards, Sage Haeggquist, Sianna Haeggquist, Spencer Haeggquist, Colt Beggs, Ally Beggs, Hodgin Fisher, Kallee Carter, Harper Carter, and 2 great-great-grandchildren Jazmine Carter and Jaxson Carter, all of whom were blessed to have known her as “Grandmommy.”
