The Bridge City Cardinals completed the sweep of Hardin-Jefferson Friday with a 5-0 win at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
The Cards scored in the first when Caleb Dubois drove in Logan Hamm, who walked to reach base. In the second, Cameron Yadon singled, stole second and then reached third on a wild pitch before he was brought in on a Hamm ground out to first.
In the fourth, a sacrifice fly by Schuyler Thibodaux scored Cace Skinner who singled to lead off the inning.
Jacob Goodman started the game and pitched a four hit shutout through four innings. Hamm entered in the fifth and retired the last nine in order.
In the seventh, the Cards added two insurance runs. The first came after back to back doubles by Thibodaux and Dubois. Skinner then picked up an RBI on a bases loaded walk.
Cards play the winner between Jasper and Tarkington. Jasper won Friday’s game 5-1.
