The Jasper Bulldogs advanced to the fourth round of the 4A playoffs Friday with a 9-3 win over Bridge City. With the win the Dogs swept the series 2-0.
BC scored in the first but the Bulldogs responded with five runs, one in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth before BC slowed them down with one in the bottom of the fifth. Jasper would add three in the sixth to put the game away.
Ben Jeansonne got the win, giving up one earned run on six hits and six strikeouts in 6 innings. BC started Jacob Goodman, who shared the mound with Justyn Romero, Logan Hamm and Caleb Dubois.
Hamm, Romero and Cam Yadon had two hits a piece for BC. Jasper was lead by Henry McMillon who went 3-4 with an RBI. Colton Womack and Trent Bryant were 2-4 with 2 RBIs.
The Bulldogs move on to play Robinson. Congratulations to the Cards on a fine season.
