
The Jasper Bulldogs hit two homeruns in the first inning, including a grand slam by Colton Womack, and went on to beat the Bridge City Cardinals Friday afternoon 14-7.
Down 7-0, BC scored four runs in the second inning. Jasper would add another run in the third and sixth inning. In the seventh the Bulldogs would add five more runs and the Cards scored three in the final frame.
BC had eight hits. Luc Hollier and Jackson Tims (2 doubles) had two a piece. The other four came from Jaxon Bernard, Nolan Moore, Peyton Havard (2RBI), and Case Skinner.
Pitching for the Cards, Caleb Dubois didn’t get out of the first inning. Gavin Green pitched 5.1, Cameron Yadon 1.1, and Justyn Romero recorded the final out.
For Jasper, Michael Soisson pitched 6 innings with five strikeouts. Dodge Foshee pitched the seventh and struck out two. Soisson was also 3-5 with a HR and 3 RBI’s.
