With one game left in the district schedule the Bridge City Cardinals wrapped up their 25th district title in school history Tuesday with a win over Orangefield coupled with Silsbee’s loss to Hardin-Jefferson. And the Cards did it in style with a 5 inning no-hitter by Kyle Bergeron. Bergeron’s no-no was also the 17th in school history.
The playoffs begin next week and BC does not know who their first round opponent will be. There’s still some decisions to be made in 24-4A as WOS, Hardin-Jefferson and the LCM Bears battle for third and fourth.
