During halftime of the BC vs Kirbyville game the Cardinal baseball team was recognized and they received their medals for finishing as a semifinalist in 4A D2.
After finishing second to LCM in District 18-4A, the Cards, lead by Coach Chad Landry, went on a roll beating Hudson, Hardin-Jefferson, LaGrange, and Salado before losing to Wimberley in the semifinals.
