On August 12, 2025, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 1442 between Bridge City and Orangefield. During the stop, deputies developed suspicion of criminal activity. A search of the vehicle revealed a large quantity of methamphetamines, cocaine, heroin, hydrocodone, and trazodone hydrochloride.
Deputies also located digital scales, resealable bags, smoking pipes, and syringes. The driver and a passenger were arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The passenger additionally had outstanding warrants in Orange County.
